Other Events

FCSC General Membership meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7PM in the clubhouse upstairs. Meetings are excellent place to network with other members and to enjoy the friendship and camaraderie with people who enjoy a common bond with horses. For educational events follow us on Facebook.

Spring Shot Clinic – Spring vaccination clinic will be held at the FCSC Grounds on Saturday, March 20th from 9-12 or 1:00 PM. Avoid farm call fees and join us for a discounted price. Vaccine with West Nile is $60.00. Coggins and Health Certificates will also available to purchase. Please contact Pat Lewis at 509-539-7711 or email fcsc@franklingcountysaddleclub.org. Need name and number of horses.

Tack Swap – The Tack Swap date has been set for 2021. March 6th we have our fingers crossed to hold our annual tack swap. This is a great opportunity to clean out your horse trailer or tack room and make a few dollars. Careful though you may end up with more than you sell. Click here for details.

Portrait Drawing – Win a chance to have a professional portrait done of your horse. FCSC members start selling tickets at the Tack Swap each year and sell them through the Summer Fest Horse Show. For more details contact us or visit the show office during any of the horse shows.

Grounds Rentals – Did you know that you can rent the grounds and the clubhouse? If you have an event coming up and would like to rent all or part of the Franklin County Saddle Club facilities, contact us for more details fcsc@franklincountysaddleclub.org.

FCSC Projects – FCSC is a member owned and run facility and we count on the membership for general upkeep and capital improvement during the year. For our members who have opted to pay the general membership their time and expertise is necessary to keep the grounds in shape. This is a short list of ongoing service/volunteer opportunities:

  • Set-up and take down for FCSC events
  • Work parties (spring and fall)
  • Grounds and building maintenance and repair
  • Fund raising

Volunteer Hours – If you have paid the regular membership for the year, your volunteer hours are due by November 1st of each year. If you have not obtained the designated number of hours you will be billed for the hours not worked based on the rate established by the Franklin County Saddle Club board. New for 2020 we will add a volunteer tracking program/app for recording your hours. We will update you as that becomes available.
